FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Two Million Dollars.

What am I buying?+
A rectangular block of pixels on a 1920×1080 canvas. $1 per pixel. The minimum block is 20×20 = $400. Your block displays your image and links anywhere you choose.
Why $1 per pixel?+
It worked in 2005 — Alex Tew sold all one million pixels of the Million Dollar Homepage at $1 each. We've adapted the format to Full-HD with a 20×20 minimum so every block remains visible.
How long does my block stay up?+
Forever. Once paid and approved, your block is part of the canvas. No subscription, no renewal, no expiry.
Can I choose where my block goes?+
Yes. After your image passes moderation, you drag it freely on the live canvas, see existing blocks in context, and confirm a position.
Why is my image checked before I pick a position?+
Hateful, illegal, adult or violent content is blocked outright. Doing this first means rejected images never reach the canvas and you never pay for content we can't display.
Which payment methods do you accept?+
Stripe (card, Apple/Google Pay), PayPal, and crypto via Coinbase Commerce (USDC + USDT).
Can I change my image or link later?+
Block management via signed email link is coming shortly after launch. For urgent changes, use the contact form.
What happens on refund?+
If a payment is refunded through the payment provider, the block status changes to REFUNDED and disappears from the canvas.
What's your stance on copyright?+
You confirm that you own the rights to the image you upload, or have permission to use it. We remove infringing content on a credible takedown request.
